Religious

Our work on religious establishments is a great example of our versatility. Metrocon has
experience making these environments look polished and inviting.

Christ Covenant Church

Construction Type: Masonry

Service Performed: Addition

This fellowship had four distinct needs: a new administration building, renovated classrooms, expanded Sanctuary, and additional parking. Metrocon satisfied all four simultaneously. The project was phased to accommodate classes, services, and a large Christmas program in the middle of the work. The successful project left little evidence of where the old work left off and the new work began.

Cary Church of God

Construction Type: Metal Building, Masonry, Stucco

Service Performed: Turnkey Building and Sitework

A proven track record for successful church building won Metrocon this large design/build project. Having an understanding of the dynamics of working with a church committee and the responsibility to its members was a key to the project’s success. Some key features were the construction of a full-size gym, language translation rooms, an elevated Baptismal pool, full service kitchen, and operable wall partitions. Metrocon also assisted the church to ensure compliance with local regulations for daycare centers. With an 11 acre site, 1,100 person Sanctuary and covering over 40,000 square feet, this new worship facility allowed this dynamic church fellowship to better serve both their congregation and the community.

North Wake Fellowship

Construction Type: Conventional Steel and Brick

Service Performed: Turnkey Building and Sitework

This contemporary Multi-purpose/Fellowship Hall addition stands in stark contrast to the existing facility. The church facility program took on new direction in order to accommodate a more contemporary program. Working closely with the pastor and building committee, Metrocon was able to give value engineering input so that decisions could be made in a short time frame so as not to impact the building schedule. Metrocon was also able to phase the work so as not to interrupt the ongoing church activities. With many options offered and a handful of changes included, Metrocon was able to bring the project in on budget and on the schedule.

Unitarian Universalist Fellowship

Construction Type: Steel and laminated wood trusses

Service Performed: Turnkey Building and Sitework

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Raleigh chose Metrocon to construct their new building expansion and renovation project. One of the lofty building program requirements was to build a sanctuary space on top of their existing facility while keeping the regularly scheduled services uninterrupted. The project included an elevator and many state-of-the-art materials.
All of the building requirements were met and in the process the UUFR obtained a new progressive image that it exhibits itself to all who pass by the eye-catching structure as they enter Raleigh, North Carolina on a Wade Avenue approach.

Good Hope Baptist Church

Construction Type: Wood Frame and Masonry

Service Performed: Turnkey Building Addition

Working with the architects and owners, Metrocon constructed an addition and a connector building that was sensitive to the existing architecture. Even with upgrading the parking lot and the sewer and well systems, the church never missed a service. Metrocon saved the original cornerstone and made it a framed feature to preserve the building’s history.
